KNOB OF THE WEEK.
This week the award goes to Daryl gurney. Like all inbred Hun jaffa proddy cunts from the North of Ireland , he is just the latest delusional prick, and darts is full of delusional orange cunts. After Jimmy Hill's bastard lovechild beat the useless Steve Lennon with one of the most stupid nicknames in darts, superchin the most miserable sour looking depressing cunt in the PDC, who even makes the head shaking sweaty adulterous ex postman Barney seem happy, Gurney proceeded to moan about the crowd and claimed he was a better player than Schindler, except he is not. Gurney might have won more years ago, but currently Schindler is better, the rankings do not lie. I hope the crowd has the pricks tears roll down his elongated head tomorrow night and cause his shit necklace to rust.
PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
5 of the last 6 day saw proper PDC darts.
There was 3 Players Championships, and the biggest surprise winner was Callan Rydz, who seems to have found some form combined with a decent draw. Price made it 3 titles in 5 events and Luke Scumphries sadly won the other. The big surprise result was jobber Klose reaching one of the finals where he beat Bellyboy, Krusty, Dobey, Clemens and others along the way. Kudos to him.
In the Euro tour #13 qualifier, a total of 18 of the 24 seeded players failed to qualify for the event, I dont recall that many seeds failing in an event. James Wade was the only player in the top 5 seeds to qualify, and Wade now has qualified for the last 3 european tours which should cement his place in the European championships even if he did lose tonight to a great performance by Hempel, and he needs it as he defends £40k from the Grand Slam, although defends a mere first round loss in the Grand Prix.
Unsurprisingly, he then never appeared in the World Series of Darts qualifier, nor did Gary Anderson, but both players are known for skipping events on a whim. There was talk on twitter that some players forgot to register but not sure what validity there is with that.
In the long run, Ando and Wade might be wiser missing the non ranking World Series shit and keep fresh for the proper ranking events, as the World series is a meaningless event, even if Wade won it before and Ando is a former finalist.
As for the World Series qualifier, there was 16 seeds for the 8 places on offer and only 3 seeds made it though, Dirk and the Germans of Schindler and Clemens.
Graham Usher, Daniel Klose, and Keegan Brown were among the qualifiers, as if anyone would be excited by their qualification for this event.
Even better news was seeing last weeks Knob of the week Babs the twink suffer yet more defeats.
MODUS
As mentioned last week the line up this week was abysmal, and in defense of Modus, any half decent player was off playing PDC qualifiers, or late calls for the Players championships, but that does not make the atrocious standard any more watchable.
I obviously watched PDC over this shit, but with no PDC darts on Thursday I decided to watch a repeat of Thursday Modus action, and it was deplorable. Ryan Harrington won every single game on Thursday, and won 3 of them with averages in the 70s. On Friday he won a game with average in the 60s. He won the group over 2 days with ease and only had a winning average over 85 just once in 2 days. That was the best player in the group, so you could imagine how shit the others were including Leighton Bennett who did not appear as cocky as he did a year or two ago, the hammerings he got this week certainly softened his cough. I have no idea of the line up next week, but it will have to be better, as it cannot be worse than this week.
PDC EURO TOUR #11
Alan Soutar who comms would have you believe is some super hero for being a fireman was battered 6-0 by Ricky Evans. If Scottish fireman are anything like the fuckers over here, they spend their day sitting on their hole supping tea, playing cards, and when a tiny gorse fire starts they milk it for all its worth for overtime. Soutar looking fucked at the moment for the big events.Gian van Veen sent Catweazle Simon Shitlock packing and that probably spells the end of his chances reaching the European Championships. I wont miss him either.
CDC
Event 10 of this took place tonight and was won by Alex Spellman in a great final, Spellman averaged over 100, with a couple of great checkouts of 105 (25, top tops) and 127 on the bull for his 3rd event win of the series.
The top yank and top canadian qualify for Ally Pally and the next highest player regardless of nationality gets the third spot at the Palace. The standard overall was vastly superior to anything this week in modus by a country mile. As it stands Spellman is top, Taylor the Canadian is 4th, but Bunts narrowly leads Lauby for that 3rd spot. This continues on Saturday and Sunday night.
